JV Squad Has Breakthrough WeekendThe Warrenton Post 122 JV team found the win column this weekend winning two of three games. After splitting a double header with Sullivan on Saturday, winning the first game 7-2 and dropping the nightcap 3-1, Warrenton "finally put it all together" according to coach Kevin Shough, against O'Fallon on Sunday night, winning 9-2 @ Westoff Park. Greg Hobusch led the way offensively going 7 for 11 with 6 RBI, 3 runs scored and 2 stolen bases. "Our pitching has been good enough to win all five games" according to Manager Rob Duren. Unearned runs were costly in their first two losses at Central and West. The defense has tightened up and with that comes wins. Only six of the 18 runs given up by Post 122 have been earned as the starting pitchers, Chad Berrey, Mike Abrolat, Brett Eubanks and Jake Shough have been outstanding. The squad will be traveling to Troy (Tuesday) and St. Charles (Thursday) before finally coming home to host Rhineland in a double header Saturday at the Warrenton High School.
